We do not give set quotes but we will be able to give you an estimate for the price of your tattoo. We only give estimates as the price of your tattoo may change due to the complexity of the final design you choose with your artist at the time of your appointment, the size the tattoo needs to be to work best with your body and if there are any other changes that pop up at the time of your appointment.

We don't recommend clients to use numbing cream before getting tattooed as it can affect the quality and healing of your tattoo.

DO WE HAVE A MINIMUM SPEND?

Yes, our minimum spend is $150. This fee covers the costs of material and equipment used during your appointment as well the artists time and the incidentals that come with running a tattoo studio. This fee can not be split between you and your best mate, it is strictly the minimum spend per person.

DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT?

Yes! We will send you an email once you are booked in with details about how to pay your deposit. This deposit needs to be paid ASAP but strictly no more than 48 hours of the invoice being emailed to you.

Failure to make prompt payment will result in your appointment being CANCELLED

Please refer to our Deposit Policy Page.

Yes. We will need to book you in for a FREE consultation with one of our Tattoo Artists to have a look at your existing tattoo in person and to have a chat to you to work out a plan on how best to cover your tattoo.

HOW MUCH NOTICE DO YOU NEED TO CHANGE OR CANCEL APPOINTMENTS?

We need as much notice as possible but the minimum requirement is 48 hours as we need to fill your spot when you cancel or change your appointment.

Failure to give us 48 hours notice will result in your deposit being forfeited.

Please refer to our Cancellation Policy Page.

DO WE DO FINGER TATTOOS?

The short answer is yes. However, we will not tattoo the inside of fingers. You also need to be aware that finger tattoos are not guaranteed to last and the ink is prone to falling out. We are unable to tell you how long they will last as it depends on factors such as your skin type and what you do for work. They can be touched up over time but there is a cost involved with this service.

DO THEY ARTISTS DRAW UP MY TATTOO BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT?

No. Our artists allow time at the start of your appointment to draw up your tattoo design so that you can both collaborate on the final design together to ensure you are 100% happy with the result.

DO YOU SELL ALL THE AFTERCARE PRODUCTS I’LL NEED?

No. We recommend our clients use either Palmer's Coco Butter (fragrance free) or small amounts of Bepanthen during aftercare which is available from most pharmacies and supermarkets.

DOES TATTOOING HURT?

This is the number one FAQ for obvious reasons. And the answer to it is – yes it does. However, many other factors that determine the level of pain are tattoo location, the size of the tattoo, etc. Still, a tattoo does not hurt as much as some people want you to believe. Furthermore, everyone’s pain threshold varies so there is no hard and fast answer to this question. But after some time the human body’s natural painkillers (endorphins) kick in and makes things much more manageable. Tattooing pain is often compared to a mild burning sensation or a cat scratch.

WHAT ARE THE MOST PAINFUL & LEAST PAINFUL SPOTS FOR A TATTOO?

Areas directly over bone are the most painful spots, which include feet, ribs, nape, hands, head, and pelvis, to name a few.

The less painful spots for a tattoo include your shoulder, forearm, upper-arm, calf, and thigh. All these are less sensitive areas protected by a large muscle.

However, given that pain is a very subjective and personal experience it will vary between individuals.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR A TATTOO?

It depends on the size and design of the tattoo. Tattooing is neither a quick process nor should it be rushed. Small tattoo designs usually takes between thirty to sixty minutes to complete, whereas more extensive complex designs can take tens of hours and several sittings to complete. A full sleeve tattoo takes anywhere from ten to fifty hours of work to complete depending on the complexity and tattooist.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Keep in mind that a good artist doesn’t come cheap. This means you will have to pay more if you want to get a quality piece of work. Don’t settle for less when it comes to your tattoo pricing. We recommend choosing your tattoo artist based on their work, not on their fees.

Please refer to our "How much will be tattoo cost" page for more information.
